Full-time Restaurant Manager Position:

The Package:

  • Total package worth $30,000-34,000/year (depending on experience), including salary and profit sharing
  • Average 40 hours per week during May – September and only 32 hours per week from October – April
  • 2 weeks paid vacation (not to be taken during May – September)

About You:

You know restaurants inside and out. You’ve done everything from mopping floors to flipping burgers to waiting tables to designing menus. You have one or two black aprons floating around in the back seat of your car at any given time.

You are a natural leader, but you also don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting the work done.

You are efficient. Working in a fast-paced environment appeals to you, and you enjoy figuring out the best way to complete a task.

You are a people person. You know that building strong relationships with customers and staff is what makes a restaurant thrive.

You are financially and business savvy. You may not have an accounting degree, but you understand the importance of getting the numbers right, and making business decisions comes naturally to you.

Finally, entrepreneurship gets you excited. The idea of owning your own restaurant some day appeals to you.

You love the small town life. Community and family are important to you, and you enjoy all the benefits a small town has to offer.

Your Duties:

  • Running the successful day-to-day operations of a small diner
  • Working side by side with wait staff and kitchen staff
  • Supervising 12-20 employees
  • Training, managing and developing staff
  • Weekly scheduling and payroll
  • Recruiting and hiring new employees
  • Balancing cash register and making bank deposits
  • Managing accounts receivable and invoicing
  • Overseeing building and equipment maintenance
  • Ordering food supplies and other products
  • Menu development and pricing
  • Various administrative and management duties as requested
